Almost the End of Sophmore Year!!

I can't believe it. It felt like a few months ago that I wrote my first blog, but it's been forever! I'm nearing the end of my sophomore year here in Evangel University, I'm actually going to be signing up for classes for my JUNIOR year in a few days! I'll be taking classes like Scriptwriting, Multimedia and DVD Production, TV and Newspaper Workshop, Digital Photography, Photojournalism, Statistics (Nooooo!!!) and Meteorology and Communication Theory and Research as online classes this summer. I'm pretty excited! Not so much for the workshops, but I know I'll learn alot. I just hope to get a higher GPA this semester. It's not that bad, but I'd like it to be higher. I can't believe I've been in a long distance relationship for almost two years! That reminds me, I don't think I ever mentioned I'm in a LDR...

Well I am! Since my freshman year of college! I've been dating my first and only boyfriend Christian for about a year and 9 months! One day I'll share our story here, it's a little long :] Anyway, this picture is of us on his birthday, we went to a Japanese restaurant and sushi bar called Saki Mura from back home. It was his first time ordering sushi! He had never thought he was going to like it, but Christian LOVES sushi now! He's more of the specialty sushi lover. I'm not an expert at sushi or eat it often, but I love it! I haven't tried lots of sushi, but I'm sure that in a few years, Christian and I will be sushi experts! My birthday was two days before his, it POURED and all we could do was make my own birthday cake together at my house. It wasn't that special of a day, but we sort of celebrated it together on the day we went to Saki Mura. After that we went to Starbucks so that Christian could try his first frapp, and he loved it too! Now we know where we can order takeout sushi and have study dates!

Anyway, that's all for now! I'll try to post a little bit more often than months at a time haha :]

Tomorrow is the first day of fall!

I'm suuuuuper excited because tomorrow is the first day of fall!! It's my favorite season, mainly because of the crisp, clean air but also because back in CT, the mountains are pretty much like a painting; lots of beautiful red, orange, light green, and brown leaves. I also love wearing comfy sweaters and kicking the leaves on the curb :] I'm really sad because Springfield is sooo flat, and doesn't have trees so I don't get to see the awesome scenery that Connecticut offers. Can you believe that the weather is forcasted to be 86 degrees?! That makes me sad :( Anyway, I added examples of the beautiful Connecticut in autumn!! :]

Blog Numero Un!

In case you don't know what my title means, it's French for Blog Number 1! I use random words in French and Spanish sometimes hehe :]

I don't know if anyone will be following this, but ehh I just made this blog because I honestly think it's cool! Gives me somewhere to just let out thoughts.

Well, since it's the first blog, thought I'd write a little about who I am!

My name's Becky, I'm a 19 year old. It's so weird to say that.. no one ever remembers 19 year olds.. in movies everyone is either 18 or 20!! Hmm.. anyway! My parents were born in Nicaragua and through a series of events came here during the Sandinista-Contra war. I proudly am a citizen of both the United States and Nicaragua.

I go to an Assemblies of God university in Missouri but I'm originally from Connecticut ;] My major is Film with a minor in Photography! I haven't had much experience in both, but I'm trying!! I'm in my second semester here, finals feel closer than ever.. but I'm excited to finish my freshman year!! It's been a looong and tough one :O I'll explain the details later ;]

I think I'll finish for now, I'll tell you a but more in further blogs! :]
